Term 1 Integrated Learning - Leadership

We have been learning all about What makes a good leader.

We identified that good leaders show 6 main character traits. These are motivational , integrity , trustworthy , Active thinker , resilient and goal focused.

The leadership trait that I think I show the most is resilient because when I get into the pit I seek help from the teacher or other students to get out.

The leadership trait I would most like to develop is motivational because I want to motivate other students to be a good leader.

Something NEW I have learned about leadership is what a great leader is and what a good leader should look like.

The SOLO level that I reached during this unit of learning is extended abstract because I can evaluate the effectiveness of a leader.

My next step in learning about leadership is to apply everything that I have learned about leadership to my own leadership roles.

What I have been learning about leadership

W.A.L.T Describe the traits of an affective leader.

The six traits.

INTEGRITY:

Being honest , fair and having a strong moral.

TRUSTWORTHY:

Being someone who people can relied on and someone who they can trust.

ACTIVE THINKER:

be curious and question things.

RESILIENT:

Never giving up and trying your best.

GOAL FOCUSED:

Aim high for a goal and try your best to achieve it.

I have been learning about different leaders EG: Nancy Wake who worked as a British Special Operations  agent during the later part of World War II. She was a leader because she risked her life to get radio codes by going on a 71 hour bike ride , she also put her life at risk by putting the Jews in safe houses. I am currently at Multi structural  because I  can describe the traits of an effective leader and gather ideas.
